We use the best quality leathers, mostly nubuck. They are thick, hardwearing, comfortable and can either be left as a 'velvety' nubuck finish or polished which brings them up in a deep shine. All our footwear (except children's clogs and baby boots) have soft pig-skin linings. The mid-soles are made of 5mm thick but flexible leather, and padded insoles can be made up to fit.


Soling Materials

Vibram Gumlite Soles Our favourite; a slightly rubbery sole with a tread that doesn't collect too much muck. Only in black.

EVA Vibram Wedge A wonderfully light material for easy, comfortable wear, with a ridge pattern sole and graduated heel (see Men's Sandal). Only in black.

EVA Vibram Units The same material as above but thicker and moulded, walking boot type tread for everyday wear. Black, dark brown, red or white.

Microcellular EVA Sheet The same material as above but much thinner and lighter looking. Dark brown or black.

Commando Soles These are very hard wearing stiffish soles with deep, walking boot type tread for excellent grip. For working or walking. Only in black.

All our footwear is fully repairable. New soles and heels typically cost £25.00 but if other work is needed repair can cost up to £35.00. Please send your footwear with £25.00 deposit; we will let you know if it costs more.
